When my child got their diagnosis I was a sole parent who didn’t have any support in place. At that point I didn’t have funding or any real family support. Just me, my son and a diagnosis that changed what I had pictured our future to be.

I started BrightSteps because I understand exactly how overwhelming navigating the medical system can be while also processing what it all meant for our lives. Through BrightSteps, I hope to use my lived experience to provide parents with the support they need.
